Doves are the most romantic and visually inspiring tradition to celebrate the most memorable day of your life. Just imagine gorgeous white doves released at your wedding that are trained to fly back to our farm after their release.

A release of these lovely birds will certainly create a lasting memory for you and your guests. When our doves are released they fly upwards and circle the area allowing guests to admire their beauty, and then the graceful flyers disappear into the clouds as they eagerly return to the comforts of their home loft.

Doves mate for life; they symbolize love, peace, and good fortune. A dove release is a symbolic and breathtaking touch for your occasion.

Dove releases can be arranged for either a church or outdoor ceremony. Normally doves are released after the couple and guests emerge from the church. In the case of an outdoor wedding, doves are usually released after Bride and Groom's kiss or after they sign their documents.

Our experience has shown that the dramatic ending of your wedding ceremony with the release of white doves will be one of the most talked about events of the wedding day... yet one of the most affordable. Guests and family alike will always remember the way the doves wing their way out of their wicker baskets, circle spectacularly overhead and then disappear into the heavens.

Our suggested package is two doves displayed in a beautiful cage either at the entrance of the church or at the guest register. At the time for release two doves are released by the Bride and Groom from a lovely wicker basket, followed by twelve more white doves released from a separate basket. The beauty and symbolism at this moment is absolutely breathtaking! Or choose the simplicity of a single pair of snow white doves released by the bride and groom.

Before the release you may wish for a family member or member of the wedding party to read a short poem or passage pertaining to the symbolism of the doves.

Dove feathers are given or sent to you as a memento.

How does this work?
Your order will arrive the day before the event, (shipped overnight express with FedEx, UPS, or DHL) inside an insulated cooler with a freezer pack. The butterflies are packaged within individual release boxes, so there is absolutely no preparation of any kind necessary. This safe and proven method of shipping ensures a healthy arrival of your butterflies!

How are they packaged?
The butterflies are packaged individually in separate release boxes. Each order includes free personalization of these boxes (meaning we can print the name of the bride and groom on the box). They can also be packaged loose inside of 1 large release box, so they can all be released together at one time.

Are these live butterflies or chrysalis?
We ship live adult butterflies only! When you receive them, there is no care or preparation necessary on your end. Simply put, they arrive Ready-for-Release!

Do you guarantee live butterflies?
Yes, we guarantee that you will receive live, healthy butterflies. Please read our guarantee at the bottom of the page for more information.

When do I need to order them?
Orders should be placed at least 2 weeks prior to the event date, but we can always accommodate an order placed 7 days in advance. If you are placing an order less than 7 days in advance of the event, please call us or use the Online Contact Form to verify availability.

What is included with the order?
All orders include individual release boxes (not glassine envelopes!) with free personalization. Each order also includes a complementary copy of the butterfly Indian legend, and complete care instructions.
Additionally, orders of 3 dozen butterflies or more include a free mass release box!

Butterfly Indian Legend

If anyone desires a wish to come true they must first
capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it.

Since a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly can not reveal
the wish to anyone but the Great Spirit who sees and hears all.

In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly its freedom,
the Great Spirit will always grant the wish.

So, according to legend, by making a wish and giving the butterfly its freedom,
the wish will be taken to the heavens to be granted
