Elvis Saved His Life

I'm an entertainer from Mississippi and a few years ago, I was hired by a man to show up at his daughter's wedding in a white Elvis Jumpsuit. I sang an Elvis song and then provide entertainment for 4 hours at the reception, which was held in a banquet room at a casino down in the Delta of Greenville, Ms. Around 9:00 PM, I was leaving the casino to go to my hotel room and do a costume change when I saw a white pickup truck floating in the Mississippi River about 100 yards from the steep banks. I screamed to my older brother, "Tony, hurry..come here..I think there's a truck out in the river!" He thought I was joking! Then, he jumped up and rushed to the back door of the casino. We looked out into the distant cold, black water's and suddenly the headlights disappeared as water and bubbles gushed up from the sinking of the truck. We ran as fast as we could to the bottom of the shore and began to pull our shoes and clothes off as fast as we could. I was wearing a gold lame suit made famous by Elvis Presley back in 1956. We swam as fast as we could out into the freezing water when we suddenly saw a man's head pop up! He went down and came back up a second time, then, went down a third. My brother got to the man first when I saw my brother's head go under. The drowning man pulled my brother under. I panicked and grabbed my brother's arm. I screamed "Knock him out" as Tony's head popped back up. Tony hit the man and knocked him clean out. We drug him to the shoreline where I administered CPR in which I had learned at a course in Tupelo, Mississippi a few years before. About 3 gallon's of water rushed out of the man's lungs. He was blue and eyes dilated. The man survived and I changed into a White Eagle Jumpsuit and finished out my show for the wedding reception. I could not believe what had just happened but it was a good thing that "Elvis left the building" when he did that night! Thanks.
