For Brides - Why doesn't my beloved want to help me plan the wedding?

Unhappy GroomSuddenly your Prince Charming has turned into prince not-so-charming. You can't understand why he doesn't want to sit on the couch with you and spend hours looking at bridal magazines. Why won't he give you an opinion on whether he wants calla lillies or orchids for the reception? And don't even get him started talking about the bridesmaid dresses.

Cheer up. The man you love hasn't left forever. He'll be back after all the wedding frenzy dies down. Remember, he hasn't been hoarding issues of Groom's magazine since he was a child and he probably hasn't been dreaming of finding that perfect tux. Planning a wedding can seem overwhelming to a guy. Especially when all these women are running around making decisions and talking about every tiny detail. He really cares but he doesn't know what to do and how supportive you want him to be.

You have two options, depending on how your fiancé feels. You can either include him more — try to educate him about the whole process and encourage him to provide input — or be understanding and let him sit quietly on the sidelines.

Try to set some guidelines now that you can both agree upon and it will be much easier down the road.
